I'm as cynical as anyone, so I approach Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals wearing the most cynical hat from my cynical hat collection. But among the Black Friday air fryer deals, I spotted a belter, which was the lowest price I've ever seen on what's arguably Ninja's best air fryer.
I always advise people to put Amazon deals through the camelcamelcamel.com deal checker, and it tells me that the current deal is a record low price: it's down from an RRP of £239.99 to just £154.99, the lowest price in its two-plus year history. This is an Amazon-exclusive color, so it's the lowest price full stop.
With a MAX discount, this Foodi MAX air fryer is well worth buying
I don't own one of these, but I do own one of Ninja's multi-cookers. It's so good it tempted me away from my beloved Instant Pots, and I haven't looked back. So, while I can't recommend this air fryer specifically, I can say that my experiences with the Ninja brand have been both happy and tasty. As one of Top Ten Reviews' resident air fryer fans – no pun intended – I reckon this is a smart buy at this low price.
The big selling point is that two air fryers are in one unit. That means you can have two different baskets cooking two different things at two different temperatures. If, like me, you've ever turned the kitchen air blue trying to juggle different temperatures and timings, that alone is worth the price.
It's big, too—big enough for a 2kg chicken or 1.4kg of fries per drawer.
As with any air fryer, there are several benefits here. The first, and to me, the most important, is that you get the taste of deep frying without all the oil and calories.
It's also more energy efficient because you don't need a lot of power to heat and maintain a cavernous oven.
The secret is that air frying has a much larger fan-to-cavity ratio. A typical fan oven has a relatively small fan to circulate the air; the one in an air fryer is more like an airplane engine, which means faster cooking.
The Foodi MAX also roasts and bakes. Because it heats up faster and uses less energy than the average oven, you can use your big cooker less often. It's also dishwasher safe, which is a real boon. Time spent not cleaning the oven is time well spent, I reckon.
