Adorable Gift Baskets offers an impressive selection of unique gift baskets, from teddy bear baskets for welcoming a new baby to the Happy Camper basket for the outdoorsman. It has the usual gift-giving occasions as well as some unusual causes for celebration, like closing on a new home.
This gift basket website offers choices for just about any occasion and for any recipient, from newborns to retirees, but not all of the products come from Adorable Gift Baskets itself. Some of the links will take you to other gift basket services, like FlowerDelivery.com and GiftTree, which is our Top Ten Reviews Silver Award winner. Thus, while you might find everything you're looking for here, you may end up shopping on another site. This could get problematic if you're shopping for more than one person and had hoped to make all the purchases together.
This website has a problem with contradictory information among its pages. One page claims the company offers free shipping in the U.S., but when you check out, you'll see you are charged even for standard shipping. In addition, the menus don't all agree. We suggest going to the home page each time to make sure you have the most accurate menu.
The Adorable Gift Baskets website is otherwise easy to navigate. You can search using the drop down menus that let you discover ideas by recipient, occasion or type; or you can use the search bar to find suggestions by topic. The search bar is helpful because it will also let you sort by price or relevance. You don't get this option when you search using the menus.
The pages have great thumbnails and descriptions, and when you click, you get a clear, larger image and a more detailed description. This site does not offer image zoom or customer reviews to assist you if you're on the fence about a product, however.
This service has a secure website for payments, with monitoring and verification by McAfee, GeoTrust and ShopSite. It takes PayPal and credit cards. Shipping is standard or express (2 to 3 days). For next-day deliveries, it takes you to another gift basket company.
Adorable Gift Baskets is worth checking out if you are at your wits' end for a unique gift basket or have an unusual occasion calling for a gift. Its website has some contradictory information, and it does send you to other websites for products it does not offer, but overall, this is a decent gift basket website.
