When it comes to coffee, some people are two-cups-a-day people. I'm a two-coffee-machines-a-day person, so I'm always interested in coffee maker offers like Keurig Black Friday deals. And this deal on Keurig's excellent K-Classic single-serve pod machine is good: it's down from $149.99 to just $79.99, a saving of 47%, at Amazon. That'll pay for a lot of coffee.

The big benefit of a single-serve machine is that you're not using energy—you don't need to heat water you're not going to use—and thanks to the 48-oz water reservoir, you're not going to be constantly refilling it. With a choice of 6, 8, and 10oz brew sizes, simple button controls, and hundreds of K-Cups to choose from, this is a great, fuss-free, and eminently affordable coffee machine.

With 4.5 stars after 104,180 customer reviews, this is a coffee machine you'll like – and as it's a Keurig K-Cup, it couldn't be easier to make great coffee fast. It also makes great teas, hot cocoa, and more.

With a large 48-ounce reservoir, a choice of brew sizes, and, of course, all those K-Cup varieties, this is a very flexible machine. It's also nice and small, so you won't need to extend your kitchen to make room for it.

Keurig K-Classic single serve coffee maker: key features

As much as I love espresso machines and other high-end coffee makers, I don't like waiting too long for my coffee or clearing up lots of grounds afterward. So, a pod-based machine like this one is a great option if you, too, want your coffee fast and fuss-free. Instead of beans or grounds, it's just a matter of popping in a pod – and because it's Keurig's K-Cup system, there are tons of pods to choose from, including some of the drinks world's biggest names: Green Mountain Coffee, Starbucks, and Lipton.

This coffee maker's talents aren't limited to great coffee. It can also make teas, cocoa, and other favorites, and it does them just as quickly as it does coffee.

Regarding specs, you're looking at a large 48-oz water tank that won't need constant refilling, and your brew sizes range from a small 6oz to a whopping 10oz for those days when you need a little extra energy. And in a nice touch, if you decide you'd like to try making your own brews after all this, Keurig is compatible with the firm's My K-Cup Reusable Filter. There's an auto shut-off, and it'll remind you to descale, too.

What I like about this machine is its speed and simplicity. As much as I can appreciate some of the best coffee makers in all their complexity when I'm wide awake, bleary-eyed, and just out of bed, there's a lot to be said for a machine that gets you your coffee fix fast and without you having to navigate through menus and buttons.

And Keurig is a trustworthy brand with a great pedigree in percolation: another Keurig K-Cup machine is one of our picks for our top ten coffee makers guide, and while it has more headline features than the Classic I'm not sure they're necessary or justify spending more when this deal is so cheap.
