Angela Youngman is a member of the Garden Media Guild and has been writing about gardening for many years beginning her career freelancing for various trade and business magazines within the horticultural and garden sectors. This included visiting numerous garden trade shows and working on show magazines, spending hours strolling round the exhibitions and finding stories.
She is a long established freelance journalist, working for a variety of garden media as well as covering garden related tourism, business, leisure, heritage, enterprise, food & drink and sustainability for countless digital and print media.
Angela is the author of numerous books covering a variety of topics such as Green Roofs. Her most recent book due out this year focuses on Recycling in the Garden while another deals with the quirky history of Gin. Angela is a very practical gardener, having created a large garden which includes shrubs, flowerbeds, wild garden, lawns as well as an orchard and fruit area. She enjoys trialling new plants and techniques and is currently establishing a hellebore winter garden to provide color during the coldest months.
Apart from that Angela’s time is spent very much with her family and caring for her cats, who insist on monitoring everything she does to make sure it is done correctly.
