If you’re on the hunt for a new family cell plan but don’t like how inflexible they seem to be, then AT&T’s recently announced “Unlimited Your Way” plans might be just what you’re looking for. AT&T Wireless is one of the best cell phone providers in the country, but until now it has been rather rigid in its family plans, forcing all users on the plan to use the same rate plan, with the same data limits and restrictions regardless of their needs.
Well no more, as AT&T’s Unlimited Your Way plans now let everyone on the family plan choose from the three different unlimited wireless plans on offer - starter, extra, or elite - to help meet their individual needs.
This means that if you’re a light user who doesn’t need much data, you can stick with the starter plan while your TV streaming obsessed family members can choose the Elite plan, which comes with extra premium data and a HBO Max subscription built-in.
Each family member can choose the plan to suit them, and pay the fee for that plan while still getting the savings that come with a family plan when compared to multiple individual plans. The plans available at this time are:
- AT&T Unlimited Starter: $35 per month (assuming 4 lines on family plan)
Unlimited minutes, texts, and data, 5G access, spam and fraud blocking. - AT&T Unlimited Extra: $40 per month (assuming 4 lines on family plan)
Unlimited minutes, texts, and data, 5G access, 15GB hotspot data, 50GB premium data, advanced security features. - AT&T Unlimited Elite: $50 per month (assuming 4 lines on family plan)
Unlimited minutes, texts, and data, 5G access, 30GB hotspot data, 100GB premium data, HBO Max, advanced security features.
In a press release on its website, AT&T Mobility’s executive vice president and general manager David Christopher said: “We recognize that individuals have different wireless needs and not all family members want the same rate plan. With the launch of Unlimited Your Way we’re making it simple – now customers can pick the best combination of unlimited wireless plans for each family member.”
